Psychopharmacology
Psychopharmacology is the branch of pharmacology that relates to how drugs alter psychological function, or might be used to treat mental illnesses. Included are the effects of drugs on thinking and behaviour, mood and perception. My work routinely over the years has covered psychiatric effects and side effects of all types of drugs; not just those known to those used for specific psychiatric indications and substances of misuse.

Clinical psychopharmacology includes psychoactive (psychiatric) as well as non-psychoactive drug treatments. Moreover, it is important to recognise that many drugs having a non-psychiatric use can still have significant psychiatric side effects nevertheless. Neuropsychopharmacology as a specialism is not within my area of expertise.
