Keith Matheson, a contractor, who suffered a serious injury to his arm after an industrial accident whilst working at a Dundee school, when a circular saw caught his fleece and pulled his arm into the machine.

Susanne McGraw, Head of Personal Injury at Watermans: one of Scotland's leading legal firms specialising in personal injury law, has provided the following comment:

“Some people have the well-deserved fortune to work in a role that they love, and every day in the workplace comprises an array of diverse, engaging tasks. However, from time to time, unwanted surprises can arise too. Whether you work in an office, a restaurant, a factory, a sports centre, or on the road, undesired accidents can take place when you least expect them.

“In Scotland alone, workers suffer 41,000 non-fatal injuries every year. Unfortunately, this suggests that accidents in the workplace are frequent, and in most situations, they happen through no fault of your own. Sometimes, work-related injuries can be very serious and life-changing, and the upsetting and traumatic experience can leave you scarred for quite some time. This is why it is always important to have somebody on your side to support you while you focus on regaining your physical and mental well-being.

“At Watermans, we make sure you obtain the compensation you deserve and recover with some much-needed peace of mind. Our team has the expertise to assist you during the claims process, guide you through the challenging circumstances, and arrange any treatment needed to help you get better. Not only will you soon be on the mend, but you will also have the chance to get back to business with revived confidence.”
