Dick Ward is a Chartered Mechanical and Electrical Engineer with more than forty years' international consulting experience in the design and management of industrial electrical installations, power generation (steam, diesel and gas turbine), process and mechanical handling plant, particularly for the chemical, metal, mining, pulp, paper, packaging and power industries.
Mr Ward has extensive dispute resolution experience (since 1978) and has appeared as an expert witness in the County Courts, the TCC, the Patents Court and in international arbitration. He has also conducted expert determination. He is a Member of the Academy of Experts and is familiar with the requirements of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) as they relate to acting as an Expert Advisor, Party Appointed Expert or Single Joint Expert.
He also advises on operations and maintenance practices and is frequently consulted in dispute resolution, contractual dispute, technical assessments, professional negligence, intellectual property, machinery failure and personal injury. He is able to draw on wide experience in the many and varied aspects of engineering design and project management, and his knowledge of the customary roles and responsibilities of the individual participants, to assist the Court.
