Areas of special expertise include:
1. Psychiatry of challenging behaviour, especially forensic aspects.
2. Neuropsychiatry, including developmental disorders, learning disability and autism.
3. Cerebral injury induced by trauma, disease and substance misuse.
4. Stress-related psychological disorders including post-traumatic stress disorder.
5. Assessment of mental capacity, particularly in relation to lasting powers of attorney.
6 Assessment of parental capacity in relation to child care proceedings.
7. Assessment of testamentary capacity and disputed wills.
