Registered Osteopath & Registered Acupuncturist
D.O., B.Ac., LL.M.
Nationwide
I have been in full-time practice as an osteopath since 1982 and an acupuncturist since 1987.
I have lectured extensively at undergraduate and postgraduate level in both osteopathy and acupuncture and lectured to surgeons, doctors, nurses and midwives on both, nationally and internationally and more recently on medical law at national conferences. I have acted as a clinical tutor and mentor in both disciplines.
I have been published in professional journals, national newspapers and magazines. I completed an LL.M. in Medical Law in 2008 and the title of my dissertation was ‘Legal Aspects of Osteopathic Practice’.
I gained the Cardiff University Bond Solon Expert Witness Certificate in 2014 and I am an Accredited Expert Witness. I act as an expert witness in personal injury, negligence/malpractice and Professional Conduct hearings. I have prepared reports and given evidence in both criminal and civil cases which is an increasingly busy part of my professional practice.
I gained CEDR Mediator Accreditation in 2018.
