I have wide experience in acute and chronic pain management and the management of painful sequelae of injury. I am a full time NHS consultant with a busy practice including back pain, neuropathic pain, complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), whiplash syndromes, fibromyalgia, co-morbid pain and addiction, musculoskeletal pain, myofascial pain syndromes, neck pain, post-surgery and post-injury pain.
I am a practising NHS consultant anaesthetist with extensive experience in general and regional (local) anaesthesia in all patient groups, and with special interests in orthopaedic trauma and neuroanaesthesia. I am an Honorary Senior Lecturer in the University of Dundee.
My extensive current clinical practice and experience allows me to give authoritative opinion on chronic pain conditions and medico-legal aspects of anaesthetic practice.
I am instructed by both defender and claimant solicitors, and those representing the NHS and medical defence organisations.
