Anwar Zaman is a consultant ophthalmic surgeon and the clinical director at the University Hospital; Nottingham Woodthorpe Hospital and Park Hospital in Nottingham. He studied medicine at Cambridge and Oxford Universities and trained in Ophthalmology in Southampton, Manchester and Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. After completing his higher surgical training he undertook research in inflammatory eye disease and then a two year fellowship in retinal surgery.
He was appointed at the University Hospital in 1999 and includes cataract surgery, medical and surgical retina as his areas of expertise.
He was Head of Serivice Ophthalmology from 2004 – 2007 and Clinical Director of Head and Neck from 2007 – 2013.
He has published many papers within his areas of expertise and has been performing medical legal work for 20 years.
