ACIL Tasman provide services from its offices in Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth. Paul Breslin is Chief Executive Officer of ACIL Tasman and the energy practice leader. He is able to provide expert testimony on competition policy, market design and structure, the analysis supporting commercial decision-making, regulation and tariff setting, market simulation and due diligence studies as they relate to energy markets. He has acted as independent advisor to banks providing finance for major energy developments and advised regulatory bodies such as the ACCC. He was formerly a Director-General in the Queensland Government and an advisor to successive Commonwealth Ministers in the energy and resources area. He holds degrees in science and economics.
