Mr Nick Ledingham

Nick Ledingham is a Chartered Accountant who specialises in acting for dentists. He has acted for dentists for over 30 years and has developed a high degree of expertise in this area.

He regularly acts as an Expert Witness and Expert Adviser, preparing reports for the Court under the Civil Procedure Rules Part 35, the Family Procedure Rules Part 25, and the Practice Direction. He is appointed as a Single Joint Expert and is involved in discussions with other Expert Witnesses. He also appears in Court.

His work covers loss of profits and earnings of dentists, valuations of dental practices, work relating to the career paths, prospects, training and opportunities of dentists and the effect of life changing incidents on these.

He offers advice to third parties in relation to financial and tax matters relating to dentists. He advises on practice values, career prospects, and practice viability in relation to matrimonial matters.

He also assists and has acted for LATs & PCTs and their solicitors in respect of “Clawback” claims and he has assisted defendants and their solicitors in Department of Health prosecutions. He has assisted with cases involving the NHS Litigation Authority and he has appeared as an Expert Witness in FHSAU (Family Health Services Appeal Unit) hearings.

He was the joint founder, and is the current Chairman, of the National Association of Specialist Dental Accountants and Lawyers. He is listed as a consultant in the ICAEW Tax Faculty referral scheme as an expert on dental matters.

He is also married to a dentist!
