Professor Roberts is a Chartered Civil and Structural Engineer. He is vastly experienced and has written eight books and over 130 papers.
Consultancy work has been carried out for a number of organizations, particularly the preparation of detailed reports for litigation. He is very active in the development of UK and European Codes and Standards and Chairs a number of the key committees.
