Consultant Physician at Imperial College NHS Trust. Current clinical experience in acute medicine, general medicine and geriatric medicine (including rehabilitation), with a subspecialist interest in orthopaedic rehabilitation and perioperative care.
A Founding Fellow of the Faculty of Forensic and Legal Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians, London and Honorary Senior Lecturer in Medical Ethics and Law at Imperial College, I have almost twenty years experience lecturing about avoiding clinical negligence. I have co-written the orthopaedic chapter for the fifth edition of Powers and Harris.
My medico-legal and clinical experience includes acute medicine and perioperative care, medical aspects of orthopaedic medicine including fractured neck of femur (broken hip), general medicine and geriatric medicine, rehabilitation of older patients, pressure sores and institutional care issues, writing reports for both Claimant and Defendant. I have High Court (Royal Courts of Justice) experience, and I am a qualified (non practising) Barrister.
