Consultant Hand, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with the Mersey Regional Burns and Plastic Surgery Unit, Whiston Hospital, Merseyside and Consultant Congenital Hand and Upper Limb Surgeon at Alder Hey Hospital, Liverpool since 2004, having practised in Plastic Surgery since 1994, with research, teaching and examination (particularly for the FRCS (Plast) examination) responsibilities.
My practice includes plastic surgery and hand surgery both in adults and children.
My children's hand practice at Alder Hey deals with congenital hands, nerve injuries, cerebral palsy plus spastic disorders of the upper limbs.
I held an Honorary Professorship in Plastic and Hand Surgery at Liverpool John Moores University and an Honorary Senior Lecturer position at the University of Liverpool reflecting teaching and research. I have published and presented widely to my peers both nationally and internationally.
I have received Medicolegal instructions since 2003 and provide opinions on medical negligence and personal injury.
