I am a Consultant Paediatric Surgeon at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust with over 30 years experience in various paediatric fields. I have a special interest and expertise in Children's Liver, Gastrointestinal, Neonatal, Pancreatic, Biliary, External Genital, Trauma and Minimally Invasive (laparoscopic & robotic) Surgery.
I am also an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Leeds and an Honorary Professor of Paediatric Surgery to the University of Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, China. I have been awarded a Bronze Award for clinical excellence in my NHS work.
I have studied Law at Exeter University and have completed the Bar course from the University of the West of England, Bristol.
With the background of my Medical and Legal qualifications I have a busy Medico-Legal practice and a wide range of experience in expert witness work for Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury claims. I regularly provide reports for the General Medical Council, NHS Resolution, Legal Firms and the Crown Prosecution Service.
