Emeritus Consultant Surgeon in Spinal Cord Injuries at The National Spinal Injuries Centre, Stoke Mandeville Hospital since 1998 with special interests in the Urological problems connected with Spinal Injuries, The Neurogenic Bladder, Incontinence, Neuro-Urology and Urodynamics, Erectile Dysfunction, Sexuality and Fertility, Pressure Sores prevention, treatment and surgical closure, and the Medico-legal aspects of Spinal Cord Injury. Retired from the NHS in Dec 2018.

I practice in several private hospitals in Buckinghamshire and Berkshire. I also have a base in Cyprus where I am available for instructions and have undertaken instructions throughout Europe and Australia.

My Medico-legal practice is exclusively in Spinal Cord Injuries and I produce an average of 12 detailed reports and 25 concise reports annually in the fields of Personal Injury and Medical Negligence in the approximate ratio of Claimant 70%, Defendant 25% and Joint Expert 5%.

I have published and given presentations to my peers and review papers submitted for publication in “Spinal Cord” and other journals.


Bond Solon report writing & courtroom skills (1999, renewed 2007) and studied for an LLM in Medical Law at Northumbria University (2011.)
