I have been a Consultant Neonatologist in the Neonatal Unit of the Simpson Centre for Reproductive Health at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh since 1998.

I am an Honorary Professor of Neonatology at the University of Edinburgh. I am fully active in clinical practice and in research. I am a neonatal editor with Archives of Disease in Childhood and have published research articles on a wide range of topics related to neonatology. I have been providing medicolegal reports since 2001 and have dealt with more than 300 cases.

My clinical practice covers all areas of newborn medicine, including intensive care, management of preterm infants, birth injury and perinatal asphyxia. I am happy to provide expert reports on any mattter related to the clinical management of newborn infants and the causation of their clinical problems.
