I have created a major hepatobiliary service, taking referrals from all around the U.K. and from abroad for complex problems related to the gallbladder, bile ducts and liver in particular. I have an international reputation for dealing with complex liver cancer and liver transplantation. I also practice in laparoscopic cholecystectomy and weight loss surgery (bariatric surgery).
I have undertaken legal reports for medical cases for several years, including capability assessments and GMC work. I have restricted my practice to upper gastro-intestinal, HPB surgery and abdominal organ transplantation, in keeping with my clinical expertise. Example cases have dealt with injury and death following cholecystectomy, liver and pancreatic surgery and also bariatric (weight loss) surgery.
