I am an award winning psychiatrist providing expert reports in occupational; personal injury; negligence and criminal cases. I am a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist, formerly Clinical Director and Honorary academic at the Institute of Psychiatry, London. In addition I am a qualified Barrister and lecture on Mental Health matters, medical law and teach on expert witness courses.

I have a wide Medico Legal experience including; Criminal and Civil cases; including Personal Injury, Medical Negligence, Employment and disability cases, mental capacity and testamentary capacity

I also provide on reports on clinical negligence, nervous shock and psychiatric injury, I have a special interest in occupational psychiatry and prepare reports in employment cases dealing with disability, unfair dismissal and fitness to practice.

Experienced in the preparation of court reports and oral evidence. I can provide Independent reports dealing with a range of civil and criminal issues. Including fitness to plead, Defence of insanity, Duress & automatism, Defences to Murder, Intoxication, and Pre-Sentence reports for mitigation & disposal.

I have considerable experience in assessing mental capacity for the Courts and authorities, and have given oral evidence at all levels of Hearing including the Central Criminal Court and High Court.
