As the Assistant Director of Jane James and Associates, Jean Phillips has a key leadership role for maintaining, developing and improving service provision. She is responsible for the recruitment, training and supervision of all experts. She has over 20 years’ experience of assessing the needs and care planning for clients with a variety of physical conditions for the NHS and private sector. In particular Jean has considerable experience in acquired brain injury, multi and complex orthopaedic injuries, and chronic pain. Jean has been providing evidence to the Court over the last 11 years, on behalf of Claimants and Defendants. She compiles in the region of 40 expert witness reports per annum and has given evidence in the High Court. She is an accredited expert witness through Cardiff University/Bond Solon. Jean is also a qualified Adult Education Teacher with over ten years’ experience as a part time University Lecturer at the University of the West of England and as a senior trainer writing and delivering post graduate courses for a private Occupational Therapy training company nationwide. She has five years’ past experience as an Accredited Bereavement Counsellor for Cruse Bereavement Care.
