As Consultant in the Regional Plastic Surgery Centre in Manchester I had extensive experience in dealing with trauma including major soft tissue injuries, scarring, burns and hand injuries.
At the Christie Hospital I have dealt with large numbers of patients with tumours of the skin, head and neck, and also with breast reconstruction.
I have always had a major interest in Cosmetic surgery and I have lectured widely on this subject and its medicolegal implications.
I served twice on the Council of BAAPS before becoming President in 2001 during which time I was involved in advising the Department of Health on issues relating to standards in Cosmetic Surgery.
I started my medico-legal practice after five years of clinical experience as a Consultant, initially reporting on personal injury cases.
