I provide expert psychiatric opinions for criminal matters, child care and family proceedings, personal injury cases and Mental Health and Employment Tribunals.
My areas of expertise are mental illness and personality disorders, and I have a special interest in those facing allegations of sex offences.
I am also able to provide detailed risk assessments and undertake assessments of mental capacity.
I am approved under S12(2) of the Mental Health Act 1983.
Reports are usually provided within four to six weeks of receipt of instruction, however more urgent requests can be accommodated.

I accept instructions from both Defence and Prosecution.
My experience includes assessments of fitness to plead, risk, impact of psychiatric morbidity upon offending and the provision of psychiatric recommendations for the purpose of sentencing.

Civil and Family work
I prepare in excess of 100 Psychiatric Reports per year, and regularly provide oral evidence within Courts and Mental Health Review Tribunals.
