Mr Andrew Marshall is an Independent International Agricultural Consultant. His specific skills include assessments of the overall strengths and weaknesses of farming businesses. With specialism in ruminant livestock, farm accountancy, farm viability, business management, farm valuations, technical husbandry information on crop and livestock production. He has particular knowledge of livestock systems, animal behaviour and health and safety issues. His wide range of experience has resulted in him acting as a professional witness in litigation and planning appeals for both developers and local authorities. He has expert witness experience in public inquiries. He has been instructed by a number of law practices to provide opinion on agricultural matters and has attended the High Court to provide opinion in legal cases. Mr Marshall was the lead witness for the successful claimant in the Cameron Vs. Mckaskie case which is now used as a landmark case for incidents involving livestock on public footpaths. He can act both for and against local authorities in planning applications and appeals as has built up a reputation for being objective and independent when assessing the facts and evidence. He is a qualified Single Joint Expert. In the last 12 months he has had instructions as a Single Joint Expert, several civil cases, and for the Coroner's Office, The Police and HSE.
