Details

Mr Timothy Clough is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, who qualified from the University of St Andrews, Scotland and Manchester in 1992. He holds a full time NHS consultant post at one of the country’s Specialist Orthopaedic Centres, Wrightington Hospital, Wigan. He is also available for consultation at The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle Cheshire and the Highfield Hospital, North Manchester. Mr Clough's expertise is surgery of the foot and ankle, including sports injuries, personal injury and trauma. He gained his specialist training in Manchester, before completing a Foot and Ankle fellowship at Wrightington Hospital. Following this he attended as a Resident at The Rocky Mountain Orthopaedic Clinic in Canada (arthroscopy and sports medicine fellowship). He has published articles on ankle, knee and big toe joint replacement surgery, daycase forefoot surgery and has presented at regional, national and international meetings. He regularly lectures and teaches on all aspects of Foot and Ankle injury and surgery. He has been appointed Chairman of the Faculty for development of the Foot and Ankle Module for an MSc in Sports Orthopaedics at the University of Salford, and is Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University. Training

During his training, Mr Clough won both the Sanofi-Synthelabo Travelling Fellowship Prize in 2002 and the British Orthopaedic Foot Surgical Society Travelling Fellowship Prize in 2003.
