My seniority and experience, in particular my current interest and responsibility for referral management, empowers me to be a credible expert witness in Clinical Negligence cases that are relevant to General Practice.
I started supplying these reports in 2014.
I have written around one hundred and eighty Court compliant reports since then and my claimant: defendant ratio is 50:50..
I have advised on a further one hundred cases by means of short, “screening” reports.
I have been involved in the ongoing management of some thirty further cases in the last year that started previously, including attendances at numerous case conferences and meetings with experts.
I have given an original opinion on twelve allegations in the last year of poor professional conduct for the General Medical Council, and contributed to their screening process in a further fifteen cases.
I have attended one tribunal on behalf of the GMC to give evidence, and will attend very shortly at another.
I have attended Court to give evidence on one occasion.
