General Practitioner

I have been preparing personal injury reports for the assistance of the Civil Courts since 1998, and in that time I have prepared approximately 3,000 such reports.
The majority of these reports are on claimants who have suffered injuries in low velocity traffic accidents.
My seniority and experience, in particular my current interest and responsibility for referral management, empowers me to be a credible expert witness in Clinical Negligence cases that are relevant to General Practice. I have written twenty-two Court compliant reports in the last year of which 50% were for Claimant solicitors.
I have advised on a further twenty cases by means of short, “screening” reports.
I have been involved in the ongoing management of some thirty further cases in the last year that started previously, including attendance at numerous case conferences and meetings with experts.
I have given opinions on seven allegations in the last year of poor professional conduct for the General Medical Council, and contributed to their screening process in a further five cases.
I have attended Court to give evidence on one occasion, and have a summons to appear later in 2020.
I have also carried out several hundred assessments on claimants for Disability Living Allowance and Attendance Allowance, and a similar number for Incapacity Benefit for the Benefits Agency (as was).
I have attended courses on
• Bond Solon Civil Procedure rules for Expert Witness Certificate June 2011
• Advanced training – “Writing Expert Reports in Clinical Negligence Cases" – Specialist Info June 2015.
• Advanced Medicolegal Course – Specialist Info – December 2017
• Medicolegal conference - Specialist Info - May 2019
