Dr Roberts is an expert clinician in all aspects of cardiac electrophysiology including catheter ablation and the implantation of cardiac devices such as pacemakers, implantable cardiac defibrillators (ICDs) and cardiac resynchronisation therapy (CRT). He is also a founder member of the Heart Rhythm Clinic, (Along with Prof John Morgan) based in the Spire Hospital Southampton and provides cardiac rhythm management to a large area of the UK and also attracts many overseas referrals.
Dr Roberts has a particular expertise in atrial fibrillation and is considered a key opinon leader in clinical cardiac electrophysiology.
He has acted as an expert witness for both defendants and plaintiffs in medico legal cases over the last 10 years. Dr Roberts has also completed formal training in the medico legal aspect of providing expert witness evidence in cases of clinical negligence, including training in court room skills. The joint expertise of the Heart Rhythm Clinic partnership provides the highest level of expertise and a prompt efficient service.
