Colin Domaille

Colin is a highly skilled State Registered Physiotherapist with over 20 years’ clinical experience within both statutory services and the private sector. He is an advanced practitioner in neurological physiotherapy having gained Masters level qualifications in the treatment of individuals with brain injury and progressive neurological disease. He is an accredited and experienced Botulinum Toxin injector for the treatment of severe spasticity following neurological insult and is qualified in the assessment and provision of advanced orthotic devices which use Functional Electrical Stimulation for individuals with significant impairments of gait.

He currently produces expert reports for use in litigation for Jane James & Associates on behalf of both Claimant and Defendant firms as well as undertaking single joint expert work. He has experience of attending case conferences and giving evidence in Court. Colin is an Accredited Expert Witness through Bond Solon/Cardiff University Expert Witness accreditation programme.

He established his own private practice in 2008 which offers specialist physiotherapy assessment and treatment to a variety of neurologically impaired clients in the South West and Wales including many involved in the litigation process. His previous experience has included working as a Superintendent Physiotherapist managing a large team of both qualified and support staff providing a service to the neurology and elderly care departments of a busy city hospital. He has also spent three years working as a research physiotherapist for the Multiple Sclerosis Research Unit.

He has extensive experience of lecturing to both undergraduate and post-graduate candidates as well as multi-disciplinary groups. He actively participates in his own continuing professional development.
