Jon Knights is a Chartered Engineer and Scientist with 25 years wide-ranging experience in concrete technology and materials consulting, with the following specialisms:
Extensive expertise in forensic investigation of concrete, construction materials and products; evaluation of deterioration/ damage and analysis of root cause. Experience in a wide range of condition survey techniques and analytical interpretation of test data.
Expertise in concrete design, specification, investigation, durability, coatings, waterproofing and protection of concrete.
Expertise in residual life optimisation, repair and asset management strategies for buildings and civil structures.
Wide-ranging experience in dispute resolutions in the above topics, experienced expert witness reporting, and court / tribunal representation.
Jon is a representative of the British Standards committee for concrete specification and production (B517). He is a Fellow of The Concrete Society, and an active participant on Design and Materials standing committees.
