John K Daly is a Quantity Surveyor with major Building, Civil Engineering and MEP experience for over 45 years and continues to work regularly on live projects and holds a current CSCS card.
John has expertise an an Arbitrator, Adjudicator and Expert Witness in both domestic and international Arbitrations, Mediation and Litigation, and provided Quantum support where nominated by other Adjudicators [with the parties permission] on occasion. He has also been appointed for 'Single Joint Expert' matters. The latter service being used and available to parties on an 'ad-hoc' basis not necessitating or wanting to engage a formal tribunal, reaching a decision that both can accept as an impartial outcome, and to be able move forwards amicably.
He has acted as Expert Witness on his own account in numerous disputes and and also alongside other Expert Witnesses from in the UK and Overseas from time to time.
He has acted for governments, clients, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants in over 200 disputes, for ports, harbours, airports, railways, highways, bridges, defence, nuclear, MEP, utilities, power, renewables, developments, commercial, public and domestic buildings Worldwide.
With early involvement [preferably] to enable the avoidance or early settlement of costly disputes across the industry, along with regular papers being written sharing Expert Witness, Adjudication, Mediation, Contract and Risk experiences.
