Alan Jackson is Professor of Radiology at the University of Manchester and director of the Wolfson Molecular Imaging Centre and of the University of Manchester magnetic resonance imaging facility.
Professor Jackson has been active in clinical and research radiology for over 25 years and currently had a large research group developing and validating quantitative imaging techniques in cancer and neurosciences research. Clinically he is a specialist neuroradiologist with over 20 years experience and practice as an honorary consultant neuroradiologist at Salford hospitals NHS foundation trust.
His specialist areas of interest include neurodegenerative diseases, neurovascular disease, dementing diseases, movement disorders and neurooncology. With extensive clinical experience in these areas, he is widely published on these topics.
Professor Jackson has several years' experience in medicolegal work preparing reports for Solicitors acting both for the Plaintiff and Defendant.
