Dr Jonathan Haynes

Dr Jonathan Haynes is a Consultant Psychiatrist based in South West England. He works as a Deputy Medical Director/Consultant Psychiatrist for Gloucestershire Health and Care Foundation Trust, and with private patients at Litfield House, Clifton, Bristol. His work is focused on general psychiatry.

Special areas of expertise:
• General Adult Psychiatry, including psychosis, depressive illness, mania, anxiety disorders such as PTSD
• He frequently treat patients with the disorders described above who suffer comorbid pain conditions

Dr Haynes has over 20 years of experience of working as a psychiatric expert undertaking approximately 200 medicolegal reports per annum, predominantly Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence. His Claimant/Defendant split is approximately 75:25.

Dr Haynes is experienced at attending court, both in person and virtually. He is also a member of a medicolegal CPD peer supervision group; he regularly updates his psychiatric and medicolegal expertise.

Engaged with Continuing Professional Development, including in areas relevant to medicolegal work, and in good standing with the Royal College of Psychiatrists
