Kernow Enviro-Wise Ltd was formed in 2003, after I left Local Government after 27 years in Office, the last few years' service as Head of Environmental Health. I am the sole Director and I am based in Cornwall.
I specialise in food safety, HACCP Plans, health & safety, risk assessments, zoonotic transmission of E. coli O157 and Human Health Impact Assessments. With experience in managing food safety at large scale events, including at Baku2015, the first European Games held in June 2015, the Islamic Solidarity Games in June 2017, also in Baku, and most recently the Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games in September 2017 held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. I am a registered Food Auditor and Mentor on the IFST Professional Register.
I have acted as an expert advisor to legal teams involved in litigation surrounding E.coli O157 infections arising from animal contact, usually in a Farm Visitor Centre setting. Also in providing Human Health Impact Assessments for large Planning Applications requiring an Environmental Impact Assessment
I was employed as Technical Manager in a Meat Plant for 32 years, so have an in depth knowledge in respect of abattoirs, cutting plants and meat processing.
I also have 3 years’ experience as a publican, so have some experience of life 'on the other side' which enables me to give a unique insight into the problems faced by food businesses and how they can best comply with complex laws in a safe and affordable way.
