Mr. Anele Ebizie

Mr Anele Ebizie is a General Orthopaedic Surgeon, specialising in Foot and Ankle surgery. He runs a full General Orthopaedic practice and his expertise includes including major joint replacement and arthroscopic surgery.

He was appointed as a full time Consultant in Tameside General Hospital in Greater Manchester in 1996. Has served as Lead Educational Consultant for the Orthopaedic Department from 1996 to 1999 and as Clinical Director of the Orthopaedic Division with management responsibilities from November 1999 to October 2002. He has been established in a private practice since 1996.

His area of special interests is in Foot and Ankle Surgery. His workload comprises both General Practitioner referrals and tertiary referrals from Consultant colleagues. Mr Ebizie deals with problems in the foot and ankle due to deformity, joint degeneration and injury. A significant proportion of the injuries being sports related. He is a member of the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle surgery society (BOFAS).

His other area of special interest is in Paediatric Orthopaedics and complex reconstructive lower limb trauma.

Graduated from University of Nigeria Medical School in 1978 and came to the United Kingdom in 1984 to continue specialist training. Qualified to became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCSEd.) in 1985. Higher surgical training in Orthopaedic Surgery was in The North West and Yorkshire regions. In 1995 qualified and was awarded the Intercollegiate Fellowship in Orthopaedic Surgery FRCS(Orth) of the Royal Colleges
