Lucinda is a highly experienced paediatric nurse with over 17 years’ experience of providing specialist care to both acutely unwell and chronically sick children. She has worked at a senior level in both acute and community settings caring for children with a variety of complex neurological conditions which include Cerebral Palsy, Spinal Cord Injuries, Epilepsy and Traumatic Brain Injury.
Lucinda works for Jane James & Associates as the Head of Operations and Clinical Support. Alongside this role Lucinda compiles paediatric breach of duty and quantum care reports for both Claimant and Defendant. In addition, Lucinda works closely with Jane James in identifying and costing suitable care packages for children with long term complex care requirements.
Her breadth of clinical practice has enabled her to understand and respond to children’s acute health needs and their long-term care requirements. She has extensive knowledge of paediatric post-operative care and the care of children who are ventilated including experience of managing children both in the community and paediatric intensive care.
Since qualifying, Lucinda has obtained numerous post graduate qualifications; she has completed a module at Masters Level in The principles of Children’s Neuroscience Nursing: Long term Management. Lucinda has also completed a Bachelor of Science in Social and Health Care Practice. She was an active member of the professional development team in the specialist unit in which she practised and was responsible for training, appraising and developing ward staff and students.
Lucinda has undertaken her Expert Witness training via Bond Solon and is an accredited moving and handling trainer for both children and adults.
