Mr Parish has over 50 years experience in General Practice. He has experience as an Expert Witness before County Courts, Lands Tribunal, Leasehold Valuation Tribunals, Arbritrators and Rent Assessment Committees. He is one of the most experienced practitioners in the country within his areas of expertise.

David Parish is regularly instructed as an Expert Witness to provide reports in relation t​o a wide range of property related disputes. His professional expertise is needed in such cases to assist in the resolution of the dispute.

Reports can be provided either as an Expert Witness (appointed by one party in the dispute) or as a Single Joint Expert (appointed jointly by the parties). In all cases, expert reports must be wholly objective and unbiased and must comply with the RICS Practice Statement applicable to Surveyors acting as Expert Witnesses. In cases where disputes are referred to County Courts (or a higher court) the reports must also comply with the Civil Procedure Rules.

Chartered Surveyors are qualified by examination and are obliged to continue lifelong learning during their career in order to be able to provide the best service to their clients. They are also bound by a code of professional conduct and are regulated by the RICS to ensure the highest standards are maintained. The RICS also operates a scheme for the protection of clients' money.

He is a member of the Expert Witness Institute and a member of the Panel of Independent Experts, appointed by the President of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in respect of a wide range of property related disputes.
