Lorraine Jones is a highly experienced Registered General Nurse with over 20 years clinical practice in both acute and community settings. Lorraine has specialised in the field of Tissue Viability and has been a Lead Tissue Viability Nurse for the past seven years. In particular Lorraine has extensive knowledge of lymphoedema, wound management, leg ulcers, negative pressure wound therapy, burns, and skin tears. Lorraine is educated at degree level for tissue viability and lymphoedema and teaches at her local university. Lorraine has also presented nationally and internationally about tissue viability, plus produced written articles.
The recent CQC report produced for Lorraine’s current trust recommended the tissue viability strategy and outcomes for pressure ulcers as outstanding. Lorraine also collaborates nationally and internationally to drive quality improvements in care.
Lorraine’s work experience has been primarily within the community assessing and providing clinical care and supporting adults who have complex care needs, neurological disorders and who require end of life care, additionally she has experience in continence.
Lorraine works for Jane James & Associates as an Expert Witness providing liability reports including, Breach of Duty and Causation and Condition and Prognosis reports, for the use in litigation and is instructed on behalf of the Claimant and Defendant.
Lorraine has undertaken her Civil Procedure Training via InPractice and also completed recent GDPR training. She is currently studying a Masters in Medical Ethics and Law.
