For over 30 years, Stephen has provided health and safety advice in sectors ranging from mining and heavy manufacturing to food, electronics, pharmaceuticals, service industries and government. He regularly provides expert opinion on both civil and criminal matters including both traumatic injury events and occupational disease, and also provides advice as a consultant on a wide range of safety and occupational hygiene matters.
Stephen’s PhD research focussed on the marketing of health and safety solutions to decisionmakers, linking a special interest in occupation disease to broader health and safety management. His research has also been funded and undertaken in industries ranging from mining to manufacturing, health, farming, thoroughbred horse racing and the emergency services.
Stephen’s input to undergraduate and postgraduate OHS programs was previously through academic appointment, but continues by through acting as a visiting lecturer in both the UK and Australia.
