Mr. Andrew Squire

LOC is an independent marine and engineering consultancy and survey organisation, providing high quality services to the shipping and offshore energy industries. LOC was established in London in 1979. Since then, we have grown into an international, multi-disciplinary organisation, with offices across the world. Our team now comprises over 400 professionally qualified personnel.

Andrew squire is the Deputy Chairman of LOC Group, he is based in London. He is a Chartered Naval Architect with particular experience of investigating the cause of ship casualties. He has specialist knowledge of naval architectural aspects of salvage and wreck removal operations. He also has considerable experience as a marine warranty surveyor on offshore oil and gas projects worldwide.

Andrew has acted as expert witness in court and arbitration proceedings in the UK as well as overseas, including the USA and Singapore. He acted as lead expert on behalf of the Derbyshire Family Association in the UK’s re-opened formal inquiry into the loss of the bulk carrier “DERBYSHIRE”.

In the past three years we have produced over 400 reports, and have appeared in court over 80 times.
