Dr Ernest Chiodo is board certified in the medical specialties of internal medicine, occupational and environmental medicine, and public health and general preventive medicine. He is licensed to practice medicine in Michigan, Illinois, Florida and New York. Dr Chiodo is also certified in the engineering and public health discipline of industrial hygiene by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene as a Certified Industrial Hygienist (C I H).
Dr Chiodo served for many years as an assistant clinical professor of internal medicine, family medicine, and public health at Wayne State University School of Medicine. He has served as the Medical Director and Manager of Medical and Public Health Services for the City of Detroit and was the chief physician responsible for measures designed to protect the public health of over one million persons living or working in the city of Detroit at the time of his service. In this position of substantial public responsibility he had the direct telephone number of the United States White House so that he could contact the President of the Untied States (Bill Clinton) if there was a serious public health emergency in Detroit.
In addition to his medical practice, Dr Chiodo has had a long history of practicing law. He has served as the Chairman of the Environmental Litigation and Administrative Practice Committee of the State Bar of Michigan. He also has taught toxic tort law at John Marshall Law School an in Loyola University Law School in Chicago.

Dr Chiodo is both a physician and a biomedical engineer with extensive education and experience in vehicular injury accident reconstruction and impact biomechanics.
The Biomedical Engineering program at Wayne State University in Detroit is one of the leading programs in the world concerning impact biomechanics in vehicular crashes and has been funded by the American automotive industry since the 1930s. The original motor vehicle crash studies were conducted at Wayne State University. This is not surprising since Wayne State University is located in Detroit. Detroit is, of course, known internationally as the “Motor City”. Dr Chiodo has the rare distinction of having been inducted into the Engineering Hall of Fame of Wayne State University College of Engineering as a distinguished engineer.
2. Toxicology claims
Dr Chiodo has a graduate degree in toxicology as well as being board certified in occupational and environmental medicine, which is the medical specialty most focused upon occupational and environmental toxin exposures. He is one of the few physicians in the world who is a Certified Industrial Hygienist; the engineering specialty that quantifies the amount of an occupational or environmental toxin exposure. He has been elected to full membership in the Society of Toxicology. In addition, he has practiced toxic tort law as an attorney and taught toxic tort law as an adjunct professor of law in two law schools in Chicago.

Dr Chiodo is a Certified Industrial Hygienist. He can therefore determine whether or not a building is contaminated with mould. He is a toxicologist and also board certified in occupational and environmental medicine which is the medical specialty that is most focused upon whether or not a person has suffered disease due to mould exposure. Dr Chiodo has extensive knowledge concerning building design, construction, and maintenance and has held licensure as a Residential Builder in the State of Michigan since 1991.
