Mr Michael J Fardy is a Consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, based in Cardiff. He was appointed as a consultant in 1995.
Being medically and dentally qualified as well as surgically trained. Mr Fardy provides experience in ortho-facial and salivary gland disease as well as patients suffering from facial pain. He also provides care for patients suffering from facial trauma.
His special interest is; Head and neck oncology, trauma, salivary gland disease, oral medicine and facial pain, reconstructive surgery following ablative surgery and after facial trauma and facial cutaneous skin lesions.
Mr Fardy provides an expert witness service relating to Head and Neck Oncology as well as facial trauma and personal injury. He has been undertaking medicolegal work since 1995. With an approximate split of; Claimant 90 %, Defendant 9 % and Joint 1%. He writes approximately 50 reports per year and has attended court 2 times in the past 5 years.
Mr Fardy has experience as Maxillofacial surgeon to the Cardiff Blues rugby team; Cardiff Rugby Club and the Welsh Rugby Union.
