Jeremy has over 30 years’ experience in corporate finance with substantial regulatory understanding of equity markets, M&A and public takeovers. He has held senior management and regulatory positions of responsibility in investment banking firms.
He is a chartered accountant and started his corporate finance career with James Capel, a subsidiary of HSBC, which was the largest stockbroker by market share and No 1 rated research firm in London. He gained experience in equity fund raisings, public takeovers and M&A as well dealing with the UK listing authority on the approval of prospectuses and shareholder circulars.
Jeremy was seconded to The Takeover Panel for two years gaining considerable experience in the regulation of UK takeovers. The role included working with UK Government departments, the Bank of England and the London Stock Exchange.
He joined the investment banking division of Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein becoming a member of its management and capital & commitment committees and was head of the European M&A department. Jeremy was also a member of the investment banking division’s fairness & review committee as well heading its European technical & regulatory compliance committee.
He was a senior M&A and relationship banker to numerous UK and international companies working across all industry sectors and continents. He was involved in numerous complex cross border mergers & acquisitions.
Jeremy was the COO of the London office of Centerview Partners, a leading international financial advisory firm providing trusted advice to US and European companies. He held regulatory positions being responsible for compliance, senior management and client advice.
