Paul has around 30 years’ experience in the town-planning field, including planning research and private planning practice. He was elected as a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) in 1989 and since then has advised on planning matters for a wide variety of clients in the public and private sectors, and given evidence at Local Plan and appeal inquiries for various commercial, institutional, housing and new settlement proposals.
Paul has worked in the Chichester area and successfully secured planning consent for a variety of proposals including large and medium scale residential extensions, institutional facilities, commercial horticultural development and purpose-built student accommodation. Paul is experienced in dealing with planning matters at all stages of the planning process from initial development appraisals, Local Plan and Neighbourhood Plan land promotion, planning applications, appeals and planning enforcement. He is currently working on a wide range of applications, appeals and Neighbourhood Plan proposals throughout the South East, as well as more sensitive replacement dwelling and redevelopment schemes in the South Downs National Park and Chichester Harbour Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
