Andrew Lodge is a highly experienced Consultant Orthotist who has practised extensively in all aspects of Orthotics including service management and development, product evaluation and clinical practice for over 35 years.

He qualified in 1983 with a Diploma in Orthotics and has practised extensively since that time. He is trained and accredited in many specialist areas of orthotics as well as being highly skilled in the supply of both modern and traditional orthoses.

He has many years’ experience in all aspects of orthotic care including the following areas:
Orthotic treatment of traumatic injury, including spinal injuries.
Treatment of neurologically impaired children.
Footwear and footwear modifications.
Calipers including stance control KAFO’s
Foot orthoses including the latest 3D printed technology.

He has over 10 years’ experience of expert witness work writing around 50 reports each year. His in depth, up to date knowledge enables him to act as a highly effective expert witness, including giving evidence in court. He is able to assist in cases where any level of orthotic intervention, opinion or expertise is required. Reports are prompt and concise with clear explanations of any medical or technical terms.

Andrew is trained in report writing, giving evidence in Court and holds the Bond Solon Civil Procedure Rules Expert Witness Certificate. He also holds the Cardiff University Bond Solon Expert Witness Certificate.

Andrew is able to see clients at clinic rooms in West Yorkshire, South London, Cardiff or Glasgow, alternatively he can travel nationwide to assess claimants on a domiciliary basis.

He is able to accept instructions in all aspects of Orthotic care including clinical and professional negligence and trauma.

Training

Andrew has undergone training in report writing and giving evidence in Court, holds the Cardiff University Bond Solon Expert Witness Certificate and the Bond Solon Civil Procedure Rules Expert Witness Certificate. He is currently studying towards the University of Aberdeen Bond Solon Expert Witness Certificate.

Membership

Member of British Association of Prosthetics and Orthotics, the International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics and is registered as an Orthotist with the Health and Care Professions Council.
