Mr. Tristan Pulford

Tristan Pulford is a chartered mechanical engineer with 12 years’ experience working in construction, manufacturing and the oil and gas industries. He has completed a wide range of projects from slip testing, design based verification, material failure investigation, to DSEAR compliance reports.

His main area of expertise is health and safety, hazardous areas, and pressure, including construction sites, the commissioning and verification of large projects. This includes completing slip tests on various surfaces, and stairs as part of a design exercise or as part of an expert report. Has completed multiple in-workshop and tooling investigations, relating to training, guarding and maintenance issues. His other areas of expertise include Workplace Transport, PUWER and General Management Systems.
 
Tristan has worked in the heavy manufacturing industry focusing on combining health and safety and engineering on large furnace refurbishment projects, including looking at maintenance workshops, procedures, risk assessments for maintenance and engineering personnel. Tristan has written multiple expert reports based on the construction, material failure, workplace transport and oil & gas sectors. These have included work on injuries relating to workplace machinery, scaffolding failure, slips & trips and lifting incidents. Tristan provides an enthusiastic, passionate and yet pragmatic approach to engineering.

As an active consultant providing practice health and safety advise, he has a knowledge of a wide breadth of regulations and industry standards. His recent professional experience includes working for one of the largest global verification / notified bodies, working both nationally and internationally. He has also worked in a variety of industries from titanium production to food manufacturing completing assessments on a variety of items such as Management Systems, DSEAR compliance and PUWER.
