Mr James Teh is a consultant, clinical lead and deputy clinical director at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford. Also Roentgen Professorship awarded in 2018 by the Royal College of Radiologists (RCR). Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer, Oxford University. Regional Adviser for RCR.
His radiological practice covers all aspects of the locomotive system including the spine. He has a particular interest in the imaging of sports injuries, rheumatological conditions and musculoskeletal tumours. Performing complex interventional procedures including vertebroplasty and tumour ablation.
His special interest in sports imaging involves work at 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester, 2012 London Olympics, 2015 European Games and 2017 Islamic Unification Games in Azerbaijan, 2017 World Athletics Championships in London and the 2017 Asian Indoor Games in Turkmenistan.
Medicolegal experience includes the preparing of medicolegal reports since 2005. Instructions are split about 90% for defendants and 10% for plaintiffs.
Mr Teh is a committed teacher and has a strong background in medical education with experience in course and conference organization, curriculum development, lecturing, small tutorial teaching and hands-on teaching in ultrasound. He has published over 90 peer reviewed articles and 11 book chapters.
Mr Teh is a reviewer for the British Journal of Radiology, Skeletal Radiology, British Medical Journal, Clinical Radiology and European Radiology. He is also the co-editor of the Journal of Ultrasound.
Has sat on the executive committee for the British Society of Skeletal Radiology (BSSR), and is a member of the European Society of Skeletal Radiology (ESSR) and International Skeletal Society (ISS). Sits on the ESSR MSK Ultrasound and Arthritis Committees.
Membership of Royal College of Physicians, Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (RCR), Member of British Society of Skeletal Radiologists (BSSR), Member of European Society of Skeletal Radiologists (ESSR), Member of the British Institute of Radiology (BIR), Member of the International Skeletal Society (ISS). Mr Teh sits on the arthritis and ultrasound committees of the European Society of Skeletal Radiologists (ESSR), and on the education committee of the International Skeletal society (ISS).
