Mr Nicholas Maycock is a consultant ophthalmologist and lead for corneal service at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire. He is a college examiner at the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, London and clinical personal tutor and undergraduate examiner at Warwick Medical School.
He trained at Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Hospital medical school in London before completing his higher ophthalmic training in University Hospital Southampton and the Wessex Deanery. Advanced corneal subspecialty training was completed at the world-renowned St Thomas’ Hospital in London. He was awarded a distinction in the Ulster University postgraduate diploma in cataract and refractive surgery (PGDipCRS) and has since been invited to write two lectures and become a tutor on the course.
He has an excellent knowledge of general ophthalmology with specialist interest in cornea, anterior segment and complex cataract surgery.
Mr Maycock regularly presents at National and International conferences. He has over 35 publications including a leading a textbook on corneal topography.
