Peter Byrom is an registered Audiologist who specialises in a range of specialist Audiology services, based in Dronfield, South Yorkshire,

He is highly experienced in clinical Audiology, his experience covers over 25 years of NHS Audiology service at Barnsley, Sheffield Children’s, The Royal Hallamshire in Sheffield and Rotherham Hospitals.

Peter has extensive knowledge of Audiology including:

Peter Byrom provides a full Medico-Legal Audiogram and reporting eervice, he offers Medico-Legal reports that provide high quality impartial advice and information.

All of the reporting will include full assessments and expert information. Peter will provide whatever level of testing that you require and ensure that it meets the correct criteria, he will then provide all necessary evidence to support the situation. The Audiogram will show when a client is suffering from industrial deafness and it has been caused by excessive exposure to noise, especially when considering the workplace. This type of hearing loss may be described as a Noise Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL). All audiometry tests will be taken according to the correct guidelines which will include an amount of time specifically for the actual testing.


Peter Byrom has a number of Audiology qualifications; he initially passed the British Association of Audiology Technical Exams and gained a certificate in Audiology from the University of Nottingham, following this he went on to complete a Diploma in Healthcare and Bachelor of Healthcare Science degree BHSc (Audiology) at the University of Leeds. During his time at Rotherham Foundation NHS Trust where he became the clinical lead for adult audiology services, he completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Advanced Practice, also at the University of Leeds.
