David is the Head of Forensic Services at Evelyn Partners. As a chartered accountant and certified fraud examiner, David has over 25 years’ experience in fraud and forensic accounting services, five years of which were as a partner at a Big 4 accountancy firm.
He has carried out over 200 investigations involving false accounting, procurement fraud, theft, allegations of impropriety, banking and treasury fraud. Many of these investigations have involved international locations including the USA, Caribbean, Far East and Europe.
David has established forensic accounting practices in Bermuda, Birmingham and Ireland. He is a Regent Emeritus of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and past President of the UK Chapter. David holds an ICAEW practicing certificate. David is a member of the Fraud Advisory Panel, an independent body set up by the ICAEW Audit Faculty which aims to reduce the incidence and impact of significant fraud, primarily affecting the business community. He is also a member of the London and Midland Fraud Forums.
David established and served as co-chairman of the Midlands Fraud Challenge. A predecessor to the Fraud Forums, this was a partnership against crime initiative in conjunction with ACPO established to help businesses fight fraud. He regularly speaks on forensic accounting, fraud and anti-money laundering at training courses on behalf of an international training organisation.
