Colin (Eur Ing Colin P Smith BSc(Hons) CEng FICE FCIHT TPP CEnv MIOA MAE) is a professionally qualified civil engineer with over 45 years in the industry. In addition to airport projects, (he has just left Qatar, where he has been the on-site lead for WSP at Hamad International Airport for the last 9 years), he has worked on rail and road major infrastructure schemes and related environmental issues both in the UK and internationally.  His experience spans the whole project cycle, and he has acted as an expert witness in arbitration, litigation, and development consent /planning.

Dr John Spours
John leads mechanical, electrical engineering. John is a Chartered Building Services Engineer with over 30 years experience both in the UK, and overseas, with a career dedicated to the design, coordination and management of MEP systems on large-scale construction projects. Particular specialism lies in both the Hotel & Leisure Industry, and the Aviation and Security Sectors.

Graeme Power-Hosking
Graeme leads architecture and design management. Graeme is a senior professional with over 25 years’ experience in the development, design and delivery of complex airport and transport infrastructure projects. He has occupied senior roles in a number of major airport/rail projects both in the UK and internationally including the expansion of Heathrow airport, Hamad International airport, Qatar and the new King Abdul Aziz International Airport, Jeddah KSA.

He has worked with a number of major airport and transport clients to define and deliver their subsequent expansion plans at both strategic planning and project delivery levels. He takes a leading role in working with investors and operators particularly understanding the operational and commercial business development requirements of modern airport and transport infrastructure. Graeme has also been involved with master plan studies in UK and internationally and has provided guest lectures at Cranfield University on sustainable airport and infrastructure developments.

Kevin McLoughlin
Kevin owns the Origin Group of companies. He specialises in ICT, SAS and Security systems integration. Kevin is a creative and innovative Airport Projects Director and company owner with a significant track record in successfully delivering some of the worlds most high value and high profile Communications, Security, Operational Systems, Building Related Systems and Air Traffic Control projects including major international airports spanning Middle East, Europe, Africa and Asia. Kevin has led projects in various levels of the airports supply chain and across all project phases from inception to daily operations.

Kevin has held direct financial accountability for systems projects in excess of $100M within multi-billion airport mega construction programmes. In addition to major airports Kevin also leads Airport In A Box Limited which specialises in digital systems for ground based EvTOL vertiports in the urban air mobility market.

Shabana Anwar
Shabana is a solicitor with over 20 years' experience of advising clients on opposing or securing consents for complex planning and nationally significant aviation, highways, railways, business and commercial and energy projects. She advises on all aspects of a major project from inception to post consent including scheme/business case development, access to land, project management, third party/stakeholder negotiations, public consultation, environmental impact assessment, compulsory purchase orders and negotiation and drafting of complex agreements. She has particular expertise in Development Consent Orders for nationally significant infrastructure projects under the Planning Act 2008, having written a book on this regime.

Bob Haywood
Bob is part of the Civils Infrastructure and Utilities team, specialising in airfield planning and design with a particular interest in aircraft pavement design and materials technology.

Bob is a professionally qualified civil engineer with over 40 years of experience in the industry and has worked in UK, the Middle East, Africa and the Far East. His most recent mainstream work was as a Director of Europe’s largest consultancy at the time, where he led a multi-discipline division of architects and engineers working across public, private and defence sectors.

The majority of Bob’s experience has seen him working on major and minor airport projects around the world. The most notable projects with which he has been connected are Manchester Runway 2, as lead pavement designer, Hong Kong’s new airport at Chek Lap Kok, as leader of the team designing the runways, taxiways and aprons, and as project director responsible for the team that designed the new passenger terminal building at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah.
Bob has also worked as an adviser to banks and airport owners looking to invest in new airport infrastructure and supporting rehabilitation of existing aviation facilities, as well as providing expert witness advice.

Monika Laudenka-Sobik
Monika has over 25 years of professional experience designing and coordinating complex multimillion developments in the UK and in European, Asian and Middle Eastern markets. A qualified architect and independent design consultant, she has held a senior position at some of the leading global practices where she was responsible for design studios and led multiple teams delivering aviation, mixed use and retail projects. Monika is recognised within the industry for her ability to tackle complex stakeholder relationships, managing large design teams and working with complex construction programmes to bring complex designs to fruition.

John Downman
John has over 33 years’ consultancy experience as a Foodservice Consultant and was a main board director and shareholder. John leads major international projects across the Middle East, latterly with a focus on Qatar and KSA. Responsibilities on projects spanned developing the strategy, design & operational brief, leading the design team, project management, QA and client management. John has led projects in aviation catering in KSA.
