Anthony Richard Jamieson, is the Senior Partner of Clarke Gammon, an independent Firm of Chartered Surveyors, Valuers, Auctioneers and Estate Agents with offices in Guildford, Haslemere and Liphook.
He was educated at Charterhouse and started his career in estate agency in Godalming in 1986 before joining the Clarke Gammon partnership in 1994 and becoming a partner in 1998.
Mr Jamieson is a qualified Chartered Surveyor, and specialises in development and planning, but alongside this he undertakes professional valuation work for the purposes of restrictive covenants; matrimonial; probate; asset valuations; compensation claims; valuations on behalf of Trusts and Charity Commissions; Executorships and Receivers; as well as valuations for Capital Gains and
Inheritance Tax purposes. He also undertakes ‘Help To Buy’ and ‘Buy To Let’ valuations as well as valuations for a number of Local Authorities. He has been dealing in the valuation, acquisition and sale of land, residential and development properties, in this location for over 30 years.
Mr Jamieson has undertaken and has been associated with Expert Witness matters over the course of the last 15 years, including the preparation of formal reports and attendance in Court to give evidence under cross examination. Apart from disputes arising out of other types of professional work, he has dealt with many valuation disputes relating to redevelopment value, professional negligence and diminution of value, as well as tribunal work. He would therefore regard himself as experienced in this area of professional work.
He is also a qualified auctioneer and undertakes property and chattels auctions, as well as presiding at a number of Charity Auctions throughout the year.
Mr Jamieson maintains the strong code of professional ethics and values first set out by the original founders of Clarke Gammon in 1919. Now over 100 years on, the firm continues to go from strength to strength, offering a comprehensive range of property services backed up by excellent local knowledge.
