Morag McWilliam holds the Diploma of Professional Competence in Occupational Hygiene, and is a Chartered Member of both the Faculty of Occupational Hygiene (CMFOH) and the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH).

She has over 30 years of practical experience in occupational hygiene and workplace health and safety gathered through working in a diverse range of UK public and global private sector industries. Morag has significant experience in the pharmaceutical industry where she worked at Corporate level establishing and maintaining occupational hygiene programmes at sites in the Europe, the Middle East and Africa regions (EMEA).

She has developed and implemented occupational hygiene management systems for a number of different Blue Chip companies at different locations in both the UK and EMEA regions. She has also developed and implemented novel and potent compound handling programmes, and been the subject matter expert for pre and post-acquisition, Corporate and regulatory compliance audits.

More recently, Morag has worked as one of HM Specialist Inspectors in occupational hygiene for HSE where she provided occupational hygiene support to colleagues in the wider HSE and other government departments. She also undertook regulatory and enforcement activities. Morag has provided expert witness opinion on a wide range of matters including exposure to toxic metals, asbestos and other hazardous substances. She has completed the training and assessments necessary to be awarded the Cardiff University Bond Solon Expert Witness Certificate (Civil Law).
