Tonia Goman is an independent Specialist Skin Camouflage Practitioner and Certified Expert Witness with over 20 years of clinical experience in dermatology and scar management.
Tonia trained with the British Association of Skin Camouflage in 2004 and established Skin Camouflage Bristol in 2014. She provides impartial independent medico-legal reporting and expert witness services across the UK, including remote consultations and assessments nationwide.
Her practice focuses on the assessment of visible scarring and disfigurement resulting from personal injury, road traffic accidents, burns, surgical procedures, and clinical negligence. She provides detailed CPR-compliant quantum reports addressing suitability for skin camouflage, recommended products, replacement cycles, costs, and likely long-term needs.
Tonia holds the Certified Expert Witness (CEW) accreditation with the Expert Witness Institute and has completed extensive specialist training with Bond Solon and the EWI in written evidence, civil law procedure, cross-examination, and joint statements. Tonia is experienced in preparing joint statements and has given oral evidence in court.
In addition to her clinical expertise, Tonia is completing a degree in Psychology and Counselling, which informs her understanding of the psychological impact of visible difference. This background supports a holistic approach when assessing how scarring affects confidence, social functioning, and quality of life.
